T. Bert Rose
riding since 1958- legally since 1960
NSU Quick 98cc, Triumph 125/350/650 cc, Ariel Red Hunter 500cc single, Suzuki Trail 80, Suzuki X-6, Honda 550-4 Super Sport, BMW R90S, Suzuki Savage - still have the X6, R90S and the LS650 - wish I had the NSU as I have never seen another since 1965 when for some foolish reason I took the engine apart and then Dad gave the boxes away while I was first in the arctic.
Private pilot with a share of a Cessna 172
Retired but spent my career years in the eastern arctic (Nunavut) Canada.
Work as a consultant sometimes under company name Graybeard Consulting - try to not work as much as possible - enough was enough when I retired!
Best ride to date - all of 'em -
Worst ride to date - none really but well the Triumph had a springer rear hub that was pretty bizarre
Wierdest ride - Sunbeam - in line water cooled shaft driven British twin
Most wanted ride - Marusho Lilac - kind of a BMW look alike from Japan
Most Desired ride - Matchless G50CSR - placed the order just after the factory stopped production
Ride that I laughed the most about - Feb 2001 - a tiny village in northern China - was invited to ride a Chinese Jiang 125 - gotta make the record books for the speed of accepting that offer!
Best ride - Sturgis 1997 with my original riding buddy - he on a 1973 Jawa 350 , me on the 1968 Suzuki X-6 - a pair of smoking two strokes on main street with all that shiny iron around us
Known here for the saying "Keep the rubber side down" and primitive attempts at variations appropriate to the circumstance
Time on this forum - almost daily for two years
